At IPCO, we love nothing more than a testimonial from a client that includes explicit admiration for one of our employees. So, when we heard about the positive feedback on our Superintendent, Robert Moore, and his work with the Greer Fire Department project, we wanted to celebrate his history and leadership at IPCO.

Robert’s journey from a curious high school graduate to a respected leader in his field is a testament to the opportunities possible when you embrace continuous learning and pursue a positive attitude.

Robert’s story begins in 2003, shortly after his high school graduation. What started as “just something to do” quickly ignited a passion for electrical work. As he puts it, “Once I started bending pipe and learning how to wire things, it became fun.” This initial spark of curiosity set Robert on a path that would define his career.

In 2017, Robert joined IPCO and speaks highly of the company, praising its family-oriented atmosphere and the hands-on approach of its owner, Brian. “Brian is really hands-on, and when we call him, he’s going to answer the phone or call us right back. You can really depend on him,” Robert explains.

This supportive environment has allowed Robert to thrive, taking on increasingly complex projects and leadership roles. His recent work on the Greer Fire Station project showcases his ability to manage teams of up to 10 people while overseeing all aspects of electrical installation.

What sets Robert apart is his unwavering positive attitude. “You cannot get mad about things that are not really in your control,” he says, a philosophy that has earned him praise from colleagues and clients. “People always say I have a nice smile and that’s probably because I try to smile so much,” he adds.

This positivity, combined with his strong work ethic, has made Robert an invaluable asset to IPCO. A testimonial from Reeves Young, the general contractor on the Greer Fire Station project, speaks volumes: “Robert brings a good attitude every day, shows leadership within his crew, and is one of the hardest working guys on this site. He is dependable to say the least.”

Robert is constantly seeking opportunities to learn and grow, saying, “You can never know everything. Things change every day.” This commitment to continuous improvement sets an example for his team and the younger generation of up-and-coming electricians he mentors. He especially gives special attention to the interns working with IPCO to pass along not just electrical knowledge, but life lessons as well.

Robert’s success story is linked to IPCO’s supportive culture and core values. The company’s emphasis on personal growth, family-oriented atmosphere, and hands-on leadership has created an environment where team members thrive.

When asked what he would advise young electricians in the field just starting out, Robert says, “Be open-minded and try to learn as much as you can. Knowledge is power, and the more you know, the more you get paid and become an asset.”

At IPCO, we are so thankful to have a positive leader like Robert on our team and proud of the work he does in the field every day.
